O rganized by Institute of Chinese Martial Studies, Advanced Institute for Contemporary China Studies of the Hong Kong Baptist University, co-organized by International Guoshu Association, Jao Tsung-I Academy, and Jiangong Academy, with the support from Centre for Applied Computing and Interactive Media, City University of Hong Kong, the 2nd International Martial Studies Conference is not only an occasion for intellectual exchanges between martial arts enthusiasts and scholars, it will also bring together martial arts research communities from Europe and Asia for the first time. Centered on Heritage and Innovation, various topics will be covered at the conference, including research and documentation methods and theoretic development of Chinese Martial Arts, appreciation and materiality of Chinese arms and armour, cinema, body and spirituality, and so on.
